Bun Chop The Preparation
All hail the bunny book we know as ‘House Rabbit’ by Linda Dykes - an invaluable introduction to everything house bunny. We read some pretty good websites as well **LINKS**…. But all the reading in the world will fail to prepare you for the reality of becoming a ‘bunna mother’ or indeed father. We would like to think that we knew, academically, all we needed to know and were just waiting for the happy arrival. Hm, let’s think about that…
We had the cage: a good-size (wotevea by woteva) it seemed to be just the thing to bring a new bunny up in. Plenty of room and not too cage like i.e. unregulated, unprincipled back street pet shop proportions. We had the plan; newspaper liner, a good layer of wood chippings over that and a litter box and bed where he could hide away and two heavy duty ceramic bowls for food and water to prevent any tipping. Of course our well trained rabbit would not tip his food up but just to be on the safe side...
