Day 2. Is he doing the right sort of poop?
After a consultation with the book, he is. Rabbits do two types, one edible, the other not so. Good to know. Can’t say I fancy it myself but it takes all sorts. With one of us at work and me, well, not, I take the opportunity to earn some bunny points. The book says it’s good to earn your bunnies trust slowly and get him used to your presence. He has spent most of the day hiding in his house so I crawl over, literally, in what I hope may be a companionable bunny like manner and lay next to his cage. This lasts about 5 minutes until my legs cramp up. Never a quitter I get a book and lay flat out next to the cage. After a while the Chop comes out and has a sniff of the air. He stays out for a bit and retreats, then comes again. After forty five minutes of companionable silence I crawl backwards out of the room (he’s still alarmed by people standing up next to his cage) and get him some apple. He likes apple, a lot.
