Day 11. We are bad parents
We have to leave him for a night on his own. We rationalise it by contemplating the times he was alone in the pet shop but it doesn’t help. We both feel bad but there is nothing for it. It’s the first test of our ownership and I fear we are lacking. We clean him out, feed him and make a fuss. And then he is left to his own devices. We will be back before the following evening but that’s a night and a day…
